The target audience I have chosen for my music video is teenagers and young adults. I have chosen this because of the hyper-reality and surreality of the concept for my video. It may not comprehend with a younger audience. The lyrics of the song may also not be able to be interpreted by a younger audience and may need a more mature mind to understand the links between lyrics and visuals.
The target audience i have selected has also opened up the amount of people that may view my music video as the internet and technology is used primarily by the specified age group. Placing my final product on YouTube will reel in the desired target audience.
The music video is targeted at both the female and male audience as both are included in the video. The male gaze could be used in this video and they may find the dancer attractive, or good to watch as ballet is a lot about the female figure. Females may be able to relate to the video in that they are vulnerable and may need a man to help save them in reality, perhaps the business man in the video could represent their partner in real-life.
I also found that looking on Three Kings Down's Facebook page that they have a statistics page - out of the 161 people who have liked their page, they have found that the largest audience came from people aged:
